"Handbook for Blogger and Cyber-Dissidents"

I just got a copy of "Handbook for Blogger and Cyber-Dissidents".

The handbook is partly financed by the French government and includes technical advice on how to remain anonymous online. The advice varies depending on the user's level of paranoia -- from changing cyber cafes to sending cryptographically signed messages via specially formatted e-mail.

The guide explains circumvention technologies that can break through government filters but warns bloggers to check how severe the penalty will be if they are caught using them.

The freely available handbook advises bloggers to be ethical and warns that the tips are not intended for terrorists, racketeers or pedophiles who use the Internet to commit crimes.

It can be downloaded at www.rsf.org.

"Degenerated" Political System

Again and again GMA has pointed out the country was not able to move forward because we have a "degenerated" political system. There is truth on that... indeed our political system has degenerated to a point that the people are losing hope of having a good one.

Although she reiterated that issue, there is one thing she missed. She failed to accept that what degenerates this political system is not the system itself. The policiticians make it degenerate into what it is now. And the hard truth is, she is also responsible for its degeneration.

There is no such thing as good system for worst implementors. No matter how good a political system is, it won't work unless it is ran by good politicians. But the problem is, we have a shortage of such kind of people as of this moment.

Not Me

Four political leaders admitted that they received email from either former police Senior Supt. Michael Ray Aquino or Filipino-American Leandro Aragoncillo. All of them also denied they recieved classified information.

Erap said he had no knowledge of any illegal activity by Aragoncillo and that what he received are"non-classified documents" Although he admitted that he receive information from Argoncillo also he said "Alam mo pag preso lahat babasahin at tatanggapin mo kahit pambalot ng tinapa." (I hope Erap will include reading documents which will teach him what are classified documents and what are not.)

Pimentel said that he received voluminous e-mails on his mobile phone, but had yet to open them. He don't say he received classified documents from Aquino or Argoncillo.

Cong. Roilo Golez said he receive email from Aquino but "found them all clean." He don't believe he is the second level official stated in the FBI complaint.

Lacson said what he receive are "pieces of information from Aquino but said these were accounts of developments in the Philippines that had been reported in the media" Inq7.

The questions is, if they think they are not the one who receive the classified information why do they deny it before September 22 when the name of the three officials will be divulged? If they are not guilty, what's the use of telling to the whole planet... I'M NOT GUILTY!

We have a saying "Kung sino ang pumutak ay siyang nangitlog."

In this case I think merong pumutak dahil may nanginginig ang itlog...

Its too early to really know who the three politicians are. But those polticians will surely deny it like the Erap, Pimentel, Lacson and Golez.

Only three are stated in the charge of FBI. Four already admitted to have received email from Aquino and Argoncillo.

I hope FBI will not add one more politician in its charge.

Spirit lifter

I now believe that it will only take one man to lift the spirit of a country (but it takes a couple of corrupt leaders to put the country in chaos).

The common Filipinos started watching the fight with silence then... Bira! Bira! Taposin mo na! Taposin mo na! then it ended with a loudl Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh! and a wild Yeheeee! For only six rounds of professional boxing I'm again proud I'm a Filipino.

People from all walks of life are united to support Manny Macquiao. Robbers, religious people, drunkard, gamblers, nuns, teachers, barbers, security guards, policemen, soldiers, rebels, pro-impeachment, anti-impeachment, christian, muslim, young, old, fat, slim and even the blind and the lame are supporing Manny during his fight.

I don't believe that Filipinos can't be united at this momenn in our history. We are united by Pacquiao in believing that we can win a fight. If he can, why can't our leaders make us believe that we can avert looming economic and poltical crisis we have now? The irony is that, a mere mention of our "well educated" politician will make us ashame that we are Filipinos while we become a proud as a nation when an elementary school dropout stand in the ring even if he speak broken english.

I hope our next leaders will be, like Manny, lift our spirit and make us proud as nation. And I pray it will never be like what we have now that cast spell on my beloved land.

Faint Vox

Even before the congress killed the impeachment process, rallies are already staged to oust President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. And despite the call from the oppossition and the "leftist" to join the rally, they were not able to gather enough number to stage another people power. What they created is "people palpak" - wasting time and money on an activity that results to nothing but public disturbance.

The famous latin proverb says "Vox populi vox Dei" refers to the idea that the king or the government ought to pay attention to the voice of the people. But the noise created by the "oust Gloria" rally is too faint to be heard even by the duwendes. Hence it can't be called the voice of the "voice of the people". Maybe the murmur of the the "namamaos" people.

The shouts at these rallies can't be called the voice of God either. Why? First, it is led by the leftist who are followers of a philosopher that don't believe in God. Second, it is supported by the opposition who are from form being holy. And lastly it is not supported by the Church.

The rallies we have now is bound to fail. It does not produce the voice of the people and will not be the voice of God. What we have is just a faint vox.
